COINTELPRO and the Chicano Movement

COINTELPRO (an acronym for Counter Intelligence Program) was a series of covert, and often illegal, projects conducted by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) aimed at surveiling, infiltrating, discrediting and disrupting domestic political organizations.

Two special events at the Library this Thursday

Cultural Diversity in Baseball, a LIVE videoconference from the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will take place at 5pm on Thursday, March 8th in LARC 108.
From Sugar to Diamonds, presented by Gabe and Jody Lopez will follow the videoconference at 7pm in LARC 109. They will talk about their exhibit which is currently in the LARC lobby, which tells the story of the Greely Grays and other northern Colorado baseball teams.
