Library Merges Catalog with CSU Fort Collins

Over the summer 2010, library faculty and staff at both Pueblo and Fort Collins have been busy planning and implementing the merging of our catalogs. Now, when visitors to the library’s website click on Library Catalog, they will be searching a new catalog interface, which provides a different look and feel as well as increased functionality. As in the past, library patrons will be able to search for books, journals, DVDs, government documents and more using the catalog.
Initially, searches entered at CSU-Pueblo campus will default to CSU-Pueblo
resources. However, patrons will be able to use a simple dropdown menu to expand the search to include both CSU-Pueblo and CSU–Fort Collins resources in one search.
The regular checkout period for books from either Library’s collection will be 4 weeks. CSU-Pueblo faculty, staff and graduate students will also be extended CSU Fort Collins faculty borrowing privileges which includes a 6 month borrowing period for books.
Patrons will still use the new catalog to locate and request items in the Library’s stored collection. Library staff will continue to pull items several times per day for pickup in the OUC Un-derground Library Circulation Desk.
One change is that patrons will be required to create a pin of their choosing to control their requests and renewals.

Newly Acquired Business Resources

RIA Checkpoint Tax Database
A comprehensive federal, state, and international tax database; updated regularly.

Journal of Business Valuation and Economic Loss Analysis
“The first and only peer-reviewed academic journal in the increasingly important field of business valuation studies. How to calculate the value of a business and how to quantify economic loss: these questions are essential to many areas of business and law, such as accounting and finance, estate law, mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, and forensic economics. To bridge the significant gap between academic and practitioner communities, each issue of the journal features three types of articles: scholarly studies that advance the field of business valuation or economic loss analysis; case studies in accounting, finance, litigation, and strategic management; and studies of recent legal rulings. Scholars of economics, finance, management, and law will find valuable real-world examples to complement their research, while accountants, attorneys, and financial analysts will find in-depth conceptual studies that inform their day-to-day work.”
